Trey Selman

Trey Selman – RV Weighing and Tire Safety Specialist for RV Safety & Education Foundation since 2013. Trey and his wife Susan are full time RVers, who have been living and working on the road since 2011. They enjoy helping RVers understand weight and tire issues so they can travel safely. In addition to teaching about weight and tire safety, they help develop and produce video training for the foundation. Trey also serves the foundation as an information technician.

1:00 PM - RV Weight and Tire Safety

Attendees will be provided the knowledge required to assure that their RV is operated within the weight safety limitations established by the manufacturer, as well as the importance of the information found on vehicle weight labels. The information in this class is designed to assist owners in understanding and managing their existing weight. The tire portion of the seminar relates to maintenance and care of tires for optimum safety and durability.

 

3:00 PM - Caring for the RV System by System

Mechanical, electrical, fresh water and waste water systems that are on our RV. To keep your RV safe and operating properly, there are some important maintenance items we need to check each time we travel and some we need to check yearly.

 

5:00 PM - Properly Matching Trucks to RV Trailers

Gain a better understanding of the language, concepts and standards used by truck and trailer manufacturers.  Learn about truck and trailer ratings. For the safest possible travel and RV enjoyment it is important to properly match a truck and trailer while staying within vehicle ratings.

Full-Timing is an exciting adventure. There are a number of things to consider and ponder. Trey Selman from the RV Safety & Education Foundation along with his wife Susan, have been living full-time in the RV for the past 9 years and will share some of the considerations to face when transitioning and preparing to spending longer periods of time in the RV.
